The Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention, The University of Hong Kong

The Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention (CSRP) was set up in 2002 and it always concerns the mental health of children and adolescents. In the past years, CSRP has developed evidence-based strategies to enhance mental health awareness of children and adolescents and to strengthen their skills to cope with challenges in life.

Since 2006, CSRP has been implemented a school-based mental health enhancement programme, “The Little Prince is Depressed”, for secondary school students for 4 years. After this programme, a web-based mental health programme, “Professor Gooley & the Flame of Mind” was launched in 2012 for Secondary 1 and 2 students, and their parents. The current programme, “The Adventures of DoReMiFa”, is a mental health promotion programme targets primary school students. It aims at enhancing student’s understanding on emotional health, as well as strengthening their social problem solving skills and communication skills.
